Sedona Visitors Guide

Destination: Sedona, Arizona
Featured Hotel: L'Auberge de Sedona

We visited Sedona in late November and hit some rainy weather, so these photos have more clouds than you might be used to seeing in sunny Arizona. However, you can still see the famous Sedona red rocks. You can see where the distinctive "coffeepot rock" gets it's name in the photo above, taken from the overlook at the Sedona airport.

There are many hotels to choose from in Sedona, including Amara Resort and Spa, Hilton Sedona Golf Resort and Spa, Best Western Inn of Sedona, Radisson Poco Diablo Resort, L'Auberge de Sedona, Kokopelli Suites, and Sedona Summit Resort.

Sedona is famous as the home of five New Age vortices, areas where the Earth's magnetism is said to have special properties. Vortexes are located at Bell Rock, Airport Mesa, Cathedral Rock, Boynton Canyon, and Schnebly Hill. This is an up close and personal view of the airport vortex.

Bell rock (another vortex site) is on the left of the image above.

The view from the "airport vortex" when we visited was fascinating with the fog and clouds nestled among the rocks.

Here's a look at the view from Highway 89A in Oak Creek Canyon, a 12 mile long river gorge located between Flagstaff and Sedona.
