aaa Tokyo, Japan aaaDai Ichi Hotel Tokyo

We'll start our tour of Tokyo at the famous Ginza commercial district, not far from Tokyo Station and the Imperial Palace. In addition to retail and electronics shopping (including Sony's flagship store), the Ginza is also home to the Kabuki-za theater, and the Tsukiji Fish Market (the largest fish market in the world).

Hotels in this area include the Dai Ichi Hotel Tokyo, and the Four Seasons Hotel Tokyo at Marunouchi. Next, we'll go to northern Tokyo and take a look at Asakusa and the Senso-ji temple, with it's 5-story pagoda, and Asakusa shrine.

Not far from Asakusa is Ueno Park, home to the Tokyo National Museum, and the Tosho-gu shrine.

Across from Ueno Park station is this electronics shoppng area, called Ameyoko Market. This area of Tokyo is known as the Taito ward.

Another interesting area of Tokyo is Shinagawa, a major business center (shown below).

There are many hotels around Shinagawa, including the Shinagawa Prince Hotel, the Prince Sakura Tower Tokyo, and the Grand Prince Hotel Takanawa. The Conrad Tokyo and Hotel Nikko Tokyo are a short distance away.

In addition to Tokyo Station, the Shinkansen (bullet train) stops at Shinagawa Station. We took the Shinkansen to Kyoto.

Finally, here's a view of the skyline from the observation deck at Tokyo Tower.
