Lake Tahoe, Nevada Caesar's Tahoe

Lake Tahoe is a year-round paradise. Whether you like skiing, hiking, camping, boating, or, of course, gambling, you'll find what you're looking for here. You can find accomodations all around the lake, but most of the hotels and casinos are along Highway 50 in Stateline and South Lake Tahoe, including Harrah's, Caesar's Tahoe, Inn by the Lake. Tahoe Summit Village, Harvey's Resort Hotel and Casino, Embassy Suites Lake Tahoe Resort, Tahoe Beach and Ski Club, Stardust Lodge, Horizon Casino Resort, The Ridge Tahoe, and the Tahoe Seasons Resort. Heavenly Valley Ski Resort is right nearby. If you're driving from Reno, you can take Interstate 395 south to Carson City, to US 50, right into South Lake Tahoe.

There aren't many places where you can play beach volleyball while looking at snow-covered mountains, but you can at Zephyr Cove, just a couple of miles north (on the Nevada side) of the state line.

Another 20 minutes to the north (still on the Nevada side), you'll find spectacular views at Lake Tahoe State Park.

If you drive 15 minutes in the other direction into California, along Highway 89 around the west shore of the lake, you'll be in Emerald Bay State Park, where you can find spectacular scenery like this view of Vikingsholm.

You can go hiking around Eagle Falls. It's a 72 mile drive around the lake, and it's all spectacular.

There are more hotels on the north side of the lake, where you'll find also find this view at King's Beach.

There's more skiing at Incline Village, and at Mount Rose. It's about a 45 minute drive along Highway 431 over Mount Rose to Reno.
